Reservation Policies
Members on the calling list will be called
before each meeting. Reservations must be made or cancelled eight days before the luncheon
meeting, by noon on that Monday. To make
changes or cancellations, call Earlene Whorton at 269-944-1731. If you do not cancel your reservation eight days before the meeting, you are expected to pay the cost of the luncheon..
To make a reservation by e-mail for the
luncheon meeting, please sent an e-mail to info@marsp-bcc.org. In the e-mail, provide the names of those who will attend and the date of the luncheon. You will receive a confirmation by e-mail.

Program: Most remember the History Center at Courthouse Square as the 1839 Courthouse Museum, a place you took your fourth graders for some local history. The museum you remember has changed with the times and the Berrien County Historical Association executive director Rhiannon Cizon is eager to reintroduce the Courthouse Square! As part of the museum's 50th anniversary celebrations, Cizon will recount how the past and present collide in some of the most historic buildings in Michigan.

Program: Cancer is a devastating diagnosis, not only physically but emotionally and financially. While death rates from cancer are falling, cancer incidence continues to rise for many common cancers, especially for women. The incidence rate for women younger than 50 has increased from 51% higher than men in 2002 to 82% higher in 2021 (the most current year with data). Tyanna Essig, Berrien County Cancer Service Director of Development, will discuss some of these facts about cancer along with explaining how the Berrien County Cancer Service has been visiting cancer patients for the past seventy-seven years with in-home skilled nursing. She will also discuss the new direction the organization is taking to help more local cancer patients than ever before.
