LUNCHEONS & PROGRAMS
Reservation Policies
Members on the calling list will be called
before each meeting. Reservations must be made or cancelled eight days before the luncheon
meeting, by noon on that Monday. To make
changes or cancellations, call Earlene Whorton at 269-944-1731. If you do not cancel your reservation eight days before the meeting, you are expected to pay the cost of the luncheon..
To make a reservation by e-mail for the
luncheon meeting, please sent an e-mail to info@marsp-bcc.org. In the e-mail, provide the names of those who will attend and the date of the luncheon. You will receive a confirmation by e-mail.

Program: Eric Hoppstock, Superintendent of the Berrien RESA Board of Education, will present information on changes in education, trends in education, programs offered by the Berrien RESA, and why the ISD changed its name to RESA. Hoppstock began his career at the Berrien RESA in 1987 as a school psychologist. He became superintendent of the Berrien RESA in 2020, overseeing nearly 400 staff -- all working to optimize student outcomes through collaboration and transformation.

Program: Joe and Bonny Barrett of Coloma will give a presentation of their self supported cross country bicycle trip the summer of 2019. They traveled from Anacortes, Washington, to Portland, Maine, mostly following the Adventure Cycling Northern Tier Route. They biked 3,680 miles over 75 days. They will discuss their preparations, their bikes, their packing, and the route. Additionally they will show a video of their trip.
